MEDIATECA ONSHORE




The MEDIATECA ONSHORE is an arts and culture platform in a socially and ecologically sensitive area in Guinea-Bissau. As a nomade venue, it hosts workshops, seminars, productions and community gatherings. As a network, it acts as a hub for transferring local, South-South and mundializing knowledge through performing arts, moving image and digital media. Its purpose is to share practices in the fields of art, agroecology, traditional knowledge and media as contribution to social, economical and environmental justice.

#6 SURVIVANCE - NEW ALPHABET SCHOOL

In the flow of the deliberately imprecise term cornerstoned by Gerald Vizenor, this workshop will convoke the term Survivance as “an active sense of presence, the continuance of native stories, not a mere reaction, or a survivable name. Native survivance stories are renunciations of dominance, tragedy and victimry”. This gathering will bring together the Cadjigue, Geba Filmes and the Karrabing Film Collective in an exchange of practices and living conditions,
