It is said that without bees the human species wont survive for long. It is true that this is not the concern of the village (which did not know the theory), but the need to continue to have this species in the region and be able to continue the practice of beekeeping, which has an important weight in the local health and economy. After a beehive was destroyed near the Mediateca it became urgent to collectively reflect on the importance and care of bees. In this first phase of the workshop eight hives were built with local materials. Bedan na Onça led the workshop demonstrating techniques to build hives with natural and recycled materials.
