The MEDIATECA ONSHORE has been working nomadically with limited resources since 2018. Sana na N’hada, Filipa César and Geba Filmes have convened the gatherings in dialogue with the collectives Cadjigue and Atingo Iacanto. These were supported by various allies and frequently hosted by the Casa do Ambiente, the headquarters of IBAP – Institute of Biodiversity and Nature Conservation on the island of Bubaque.

A workshop was planned to collectively imagine and plan the MEDIATECA ONSHORE building and residential quarters on Bubaque Island. This was in collaboration with Miriam Attalah and Katerina Mareckova from the Natural Building Lab of the Technische Universität Berlin, the Guinean architect Marinho Pina, filmmaker Filipa César and the collectives Cadjigue and Atingo Iacanto.

Unfortunately, the project had to be postponed due to COVID 19 Pandemic.
